More news about Marble Blast Platinum 1.50! There are some cool new things coming to SinglePlayer and some more not mentioned in the video (unknown when and if they will be done), but nonetheless what we got is pretty cool. If you have any questions, feel free to post on the Marble Blast Forums, PhilsEmpire or send me a personal message.

Under the Hood Part 3 coming... soon?!

Enjoy!

Except windows users have 1.14, not 1.20. Therefore for them this is new. In addition I actually showed what WAS new from 1.20 to 1.50, which is the next level button, completely new marble select and new and easier demo recording system.

I turned my volume WAY down, in anticipation of a SIGN HIT (/ear rape). But I guess you were in serious mode.

I'll be looking for Part 3 real soon. MBP Multiplayer?!?

Really like the new search menu. I assume that there is more to come that you aren't showing us?

Also, I don't see any mirror posts on PhilsEmpire and such.

Restarting the demo in-game is definitely my favourite improvement of the bunch.

Thanks for the feedback. I mean obviously we wouldn't want to like ruin the whole World Record Rampage #2 by changing the levels which would cause different results.

That absolutely looks amazing. That new way to record a demo..

Thanks all who're working on this! And I'd much rather have a good, well-tested game then one full of bugs, so just take ur time

So, are there any plans to implement dates for level times? Doing it manually is perfectly fine, but I've always wanted to have the game automatically record the date you got a certain time.

That's actually a good idea... It'd feel quite good beating an old time you've had for a while, and knowing which times have been untouched the most, as to decide what level to play. Additionally, one could also theoretically sort levels by recency, so as to not forget one exists. One downside would be the addition of more, and also inconsistent, information now also present on the level select screen. And it would also eventually double the prefs file, but I don't see that as much of an issue.

@Sporlo/ProMarbler:

The engine in marble blast does not expose a functionality to TorqueScript that lets us read properties of files, we can only read contents of text based files (not compiled / no binary). That's it :C

I believe the idea was for it to be additionally recorded in the mbpPrefs.cs file alongside each time. I'm sure there has to be something that gets the system date and time. Not reading the file itself for when it was played.

Yeah I simply meant,
Finish level.
Game asks for name for record if applicable.
Game reads system date.
Game writes name, record, and date into prefs.cs.

For GUI, game simply reads name, record, and date from prefs to display.

Speaking of revolution... maybe it's time to get platforms to revolve... y'know... which means rotate?

Platform can move, shrink, grow but not rotate?

Blame IAC for getting the rights of MBG without even making it available to the public, thus preventing more possible potential coders to be recruited.
