The future of Marble Blast Platinum was created by IsraeliRD
Hi everyone,

Phil had recently left Marble Blast and stopping working on current projects such as PlatinumQuest and Marble Blast Platinum. Phil has done many things for both projects: leading and administrating the mods, level design, programming, hosting, sounds & music, shapes & powerups, texturing and creating skyboxes and just about every possible task that one can be appointed to.
His loss is definitely felt throughout all areas of the projects as his abilities were outstanding and unique throughout the Marble Blast community. He was a great friend to many of us, helped and contributed much and had laid the foundations to what the community would become like. There are no words to describe his outstanding qualities and the impression he had left on all of us will last forever.

With Phil’s leave, it had been decided to suspend Marble Blast Platinum indefinitely. Phil had left us with the majority of the required files to create MBP 1.20 Windows, but there are still some bugs to fix. It may be done in the future, but it is no longer of priority. Likewise, the Leaderboards’ fixes are suspended indefinitely but will continue to stay on Phil’s server.

PlatinumQuest is in NO way affected by this, and progress on that project will continue as normal.

Thanks Phil, we’ll miss you.
- the Platinum team

That's a darn shame. I hope no other big members leave soon, the forums are seemingly empty as is.

Why not just release the 1.20 MBP stuff we have? The staff version is better than 1.14.

That sucks. My predictions to MBP 1.20 is that it wount be realeased till PQ will be out or till Phil or anybody else will finish it so actualy i dont give any high hopes for this.

Whait wasnt CF main dts designer of MBP?

Some guy that does DTS shapes and levels.

AWESOME time HINT : When making PQ level place your custom interiors and textures in platinum/data/interiors_pq/custom

It's buggy, we can't release it as it is.

A Real shame, Phil was an important person in the MBP staff and did many things, and as Roko said, the forum is empty as is. Phil will be missed and has left a great mark in the making on MBP and PlatinumQuest.

Suspending MBP sucks, but was expected after Phil's departure.

Is there any way for us to fix the bugs and release? We do have an awesome coder, you know...

That's bad, MBP is a legend in MB history. I hope that PQ will continue be developed in normal status and don't die. Also I will miss Phil very much, I didn't had any special time with him, but I always liked him.

I miss Phil. He made some of the best levels ever (his old stuff is as good as his newer stuff in my opinion), was one of the original masterminds behind MBP, and, I thought, was a very nice guy from the few times I talked to him. Goodbye Phil.

Andrew, he needs to concentrate on PQ, not MBP

I could always fix them for you lol

I am a programmer. Most here know me for being one of the major contributors to Marble Blast Platinum and PlatinumQuest.

And Xelna(Pascal) was such an inpirations to everyone with his amazing runs and world records.

Best wishes to both.

Was I ever relieved to hear THAT. Until I read it, I was thinking, Oh noes, PQ is gone!

Phil, you will be missed. Hope you decide to come back.

      System.out.println("PQ WHERe");
