Hey guys,
Spy47 created for us a new powerup which is called 'Random Powerup' (in LE: RandomPowerUpItem). Now, it chooses one of 6 possible powerups when the player picks it up: Marble Recoil, Anti Recoil, Time Modifier, Speed Booster, Jump Boost, Helicopter.
Before most of you will go 'OMG IT SUCKS, IT'S NOT GOOD, ITS ANTI-WR' and all the rest of the stupid excuses, I wanna say my counter arguments why it is in:
1) Adds to the gameplay variance, possibilities and more. Great for custom levels ideas.
2) Adds challenge. Of course it won't be in the normal path but will be required to slow down for (like Checkpoint).
3) Is great for longer and harder levels.
4) Makes methods for UT and WRs more interesting and opens possibilties. Like you won't find it on Sprint or Trapdoor Mania, but on BFinale, CDC and TUFC it would be a useful one.
5) Regarding TM: Default at 5 secs, but able to add 'timeBonus' in mission code so that when the RP chooses TM, you get the timeBonus written down (ie 10 secs).
Now, wait for the next version and test it out for yourself before commenting about it.
