Hey, guys. Tomorrow, June 27, I'm getting my pallet expander off!!! I can't wait! I've had this on since December 2010, and it's been a real pain in the butt for reasons I don't want to describe. It's basically a contraption with a sort of keyhole. When a special key in inserted and twisted, the thing expands to the sides, expanding your pallet. Sounds fun, right?

It is. I haven't been able to chew gum or eat popcorn for 6 months. After I get this off, I'm getting fitted for a retainer, meaning I can chew gum and eat popcorn without any trouble, because I'm not going to wear it during mealtimes.

So, why don't you make your own key to remove the expander yourself if you hate it so much?
