You do realize that This Summer means before autumn right?

So they have until September 22 for them to still be out on in the summer.

Progress has been slow, mostly been waiting for our various sub-projects to reach a more polished, and stable state where they can effectively communicate with one another - and then connect them via the new site.

That and we're still working out how we're going to port over all of the forum threads and users with minimal difficulties

And to answer an earlier question, we did build an early prototype forum from scratch, but decided to go with a more heavily supported phpbb format - namely, an open source project known as Kunena forums. We figure their (fairly large) development community will handle the base forum modifications and operations while we focus our time and efforts on customizing the Marble Blast integration for the forums.

After fast lookup on the forums software i was wondering if it allows to customize where userbar is because on their demonstration forums it is on right side instead of traditional left. :/

Some guy that does DTS shapes and levels.

I've also been told that they're going to finish the neighbour's construction within 2 months back in October of last year and they only finished it last week.

The mall nearest to us started renovation at Jan of this year and said mid-2013 as opening time but they just changed it to Sprint 2013.

Kunena by default puts it on the right, but I put it on the left side (as everyone is used to) on our forums. Fear not.

What's Sprint 2013?

I assume he means spring. Spring seems like they're moving it *forward* from mid-2013, but this is in Australia, right?

Unfortunately, it's past spring now. So it maybe released this year, but somewhere in this summer.

We're talking SUMMER as in some point in july to september inclusive and I hope you know what inclusive means if not google it.
That is the definition of summer. Get it into your head and then you'll know we really have 2.5 months left before summer is over.

And also I'll quote the first post that said that plans don't always go as we wanted, so there is a GOOD POSSIBILITY that it wouldn't be finished in september, but WE'RE WORKING ON IT.

There's MBP 1.50 (w/ multiplayer), there's Fubar, there are forums, there is website there is SO MUCH to do it's not even funny.
And we have lives and aayrl got really sick and you don't even care.

Guys, we should not put any more posts like Isn't this forum supposed to be out already? It's summer. Instead, we must understand that we are sooooo lucky that these nice people are even making a new forum for us to relish. They are already working on hard projects most of us complaining wouldn't even DREAM of doing, and they also have their lives. They're dedicating time of their lives into this new forum for us to have, and we should thank them for their time and dedication, not rush them.

Jeez, we aren't brats, right?

I think the main problem is that a lot of stuff has been promised, but people are losing their patience waiting for it to be released. May I thus take this time to shamelessly plug Marble Blast Powered Up, which *has* been released?

The main problem here is very few of you get to see what goes on behind the scenes for all of these major projects.

Most of the staff members for MBP 1.50 either have school or full-time jobs, in addition to the mountain of work they have to accomplish to actually release MBP 1.50 for the public.

The MBFubar staff (which, at the moment mostly consists of myself and a fellow colleague) have roughly two hours a day (at max) to work on the beta builds, in addition to my two full-time jobs and my colleagues' night shift job, which makes it nearly impossible for us to find time to collaborate, and we mostly end up working in 'chunks'.

Now, as far as the website is concerned, MOST of the work is completely done. When I say most, I really mean most. The only real things we have to accomplish is the custom web-plugins for Marble Blast, data tables for MBP and MBF, and (the worst part) the forum post migration (which is currently led and only being accomplished by IsraeliRD, who hasn't actually done anything on this for roughly a month since we can't progress in that aspect yet).

So, yes, it will take a while for us to polish up the site and release it on the MarbleBlast.com domain. The best I can say is that a select handful of active users that are participating in the Marble Blast Fubar Beta program *MAY* see the website in the next few weeks in order to test Leaderboard and Chat integration for MBF. Other than that, the best time-frame I can provide for you at this point is the end of August. We're mostly devoting our time in MBP 1.50 and MBF first and finishing up these platforms before we bring both of the development teams together for the final website integration project, which will take the collaboration of both teams (likely) about one to two weeks to write, test, and polish, before we are ready to launch the new website.

Hopefully this clears up some of the confusion, and I will attempt to provide progress reports and, maybe, teaser images since you all love teasers so much.

It sounds like there's a lot of other stuff you guys have to do while making the new website. I understand how much stress it is when you have lots of stuff to do at once. Hope this'll end up awesome!

Quick Update:

So, yeah, we missed our Summer 2013 deadline. We're pushing to have the site available by the end of October or early November.

IsraeliRD and I are currently in the process of locating and downloading all of the custom level packs, modifications, MBDK, graphics, etc files and uploading them to our new host. This process has proven to take quite some time, as we need to categorize every file we upload and occasionally provide photos / descriptions for each file.

IsraeliRD will then start pulling user lists from our forums and begin the long, painful process of updating threads and transporting over the important topics to our site. We expect this process to take the longest at just under a month.

I am currently working with a team of five folks (myself included) to polish up any of the coding troubles we encounter on the site. I plan to get in touch with HiGuy to finish up some of the Leaderboard integration settings later this month.

To keep me motivated (and distracted from the other various projects begging for my attention outside of Marble Blast), I will do my best to keep this thread updated and provide weekly reports on the status of the new site. I do intend to have the site finished no later than December 1st, 2013 (reserving the last few weeks of December for finishing Fubar).

Hopefully this clarifies some stress amongst members regarding the status of the new site. It is still in the works and it is still actively being constructed.

Thanks for the update! I have been eagerly awaiting news of the site. I assume the next target is also when you plan to make MBP 1.50 available to the public? (That would mean posting the third inside video, beforehand.) I'm sure that you can polish up the code even after it had been made available, that way, you wouldn't keep keeping us here for the time being.

For weekly status reports, they won't fall into the same release cycle as those MBF Beta builds, are they? And I will be expecting teasers. You mentioned teasers above.

Oh and shouldn't you change the title, then?

* MBF builds lost priority when I was instructed to focus my efforts on the website before I pour resources into Fubar.

* Yes, teasers incoming next week

* Topic title changed

Clicked my bookmark and got the previous site placeholder saying it was all offline and such, but without styles or images, so I refreshed. Then I got:

Any idea why this happened? Or did you just happen to time your maintenance at that exact time?
