Website Updates - 6/4/14
Hey folks. Some of you probably noticed the fancy new Pop-Up alert for your inbox that went live this morning. Hopefully this will allow you to get instant alerts about new messages awaiting your eyes. Below is a complete list of changes that were implemented today:
- Added a new Private Messages Alert Pop-Up! This fantastic little bugger will display in the top right of your web browser (assuming Javascript is Enabled) as well as play a familiar notification sound to signal to users they have unread messages in their inbox! The pop-up notification will only display and play noises if you have unread messages in your inbox.
- If you wish to disable the pop-up notification, simply navigate to your inbox, scroll to the bottom, and click the "Settings" link. From here, uncheck the notifications box and click submit to confirm these changes.
- Added an auto-complete feature for the Compose Message portion of the Inbox, which should make it easier to send messages to users with confusing names.
- Changed the Unread Message icon in the inbox to be a bright green envelope to hopefully make it more prominent amongst the read messages.
- Modified the Inbox styles to make individual messages easier to read with alternating row colors.
- Updated the Gantry framework from v4.1.22 to v4.1.23.
- Upgraded the website engine from Joomla v2.5.19 to Joomla 2.5.20.
