Hey everyone,

It is with mixed emotions I am writing this update. Only 9 years ago did we begin a mod that changed the community, and the game, as we know it. There are countless people who should be thanked for all the work they have put in, and continue to pour in, into this community. As a fan of Marble Blast, all I want to say is: Thank You!

Our promise to finish development on Marble Blast Platinum now comes into effect. We will continue working on the mod in terms of major bugfixes, but otherwise not much further. Nonetheless there are a standing items that we want to complete, and they will be released during 2016.
These items are: Leaderboards and Achievement changes, minor level fixes, new custom levels thanks to the CLA team (Regislian, Kalle29, ProMarbler and Kurt) and maybe a couple more things. Challenges and Super Challenges will not be touched further.

The next time Marble Blast Platinum gets a major update, will be when PlatinumQuest is released in 2017. PlatinumQuest has seen active development recently and has gone into full production stage, which will continue until its eventual release in 2017.

Thank you for taking the time to create, manage, and run a fabulous game and an amazing community. You have all changed a bunch of our lives by bringing more than just a mod of Marble blast Gold to the world.
I really couldn't have had such a great year (and it's still going) in the past if I hadn't found out about Marble Blast Platinum. Thank you so much.

Thanks so much for everyone involved in this great game, with a wonderful community behind it. This is the game that has always drawn me back, without fail, no matter how much I tried to move away from it (for various reasons!)
I appreciate how much work has been put into the game, and how, resembling a finished and well polished product, should be shelved development-wise to continue on with new, bigger and better things like PQ.

I give my many thanks to the people that started this modification of Marble Blast Gold, life for me would be very different without your contribution. I thoroughly enjoy the community that was created with these forums and online mode, and I am very thankful for it. I am excited to see the the continuation of Marble Blast in the form of Platinum Quest, but I am saddened to see the cease of continued work on Marble Blast Platinum, as it is the most well-known mod out there, and has given a lot to many people's lives. I also give thanks towards the people that are now helping keep the game alive, without pay. They are the people that I give the most of my gratitude towards. We, the community, need to give it our best shot to keep producing fun games and improving upon the ones we already have. I hope this community lasts many, many years.

Sad to see MBP reach it's terminal stage, but at this point what more could one ask for from MBP? Leaderboards, multiplayer, challenges/super challenges, co-op, all those things. There wasn't too much more that MBP was going to get. It's good to see that now the Platinum Team's main focus is PQ.

What else could they put in? They've got everything now.

The more recent posts have gotten me confused. Is PQ going to be merged into MBP, with a planned release for the update being in 2017?
