Actually stickied the topic. "Sticking" a topic does nothing. :P

This should be covered in 1.50 final release, however, so may unsticky.

Also, marvel at my postcount. MARVEL IT.

I sticked the topic. I should update it for 1.50 sometime soon.

The reason why it doesn't allow for any other application outside of MBG to play it is because it's not actually a video recording. It's just a recorded set of instructions (with possibly some other info) that tells the game what and how to render and progress.

If it were a video recording, your computer would not be running fast.

If you don't have a .inf file, you can manually start a demo with this script:

Code:
playDemo("platinumbeta/path/to/demo.rec");
No guarantees (untested!), you should prefer replay center + the inf file.

Yes there is, After recording (or placing them in the right folder: Marble Blast Platinum\platinumbeta\client\demos) u can play them in the Replay Center (button next to the Message of the Day button).

Okay. Is there a way to do this in MBP? I'm not sure how to run demos in MBP RC1.

There isn't. The .recs will be recorded by him (Fraps) from in-game.

If you wanna know how this works:

I may be being stupid or something, but I know Matan collects .recs for the MBG WRR, so there must be a way to play them outside MB. How is this done?
