Mac, duh. You know who/where I am.

~ There's a "Checking mission consistency" bug where sometimes it gets stuck on that screen.I think it gave errors once, I can't remember. Others have reported it too. You can fix it by canceling and trying again.
~ There are still two other "me"s on the LBs, which should really be removed.
~ I think guests MAY produce a duplicate logoff, with " has logged off" as the message.
---- Probably related to Higuy's fake logoffs.
~ Quitting the LBs seems to be an error in the console.
~ Prev/Next Category buttons on Marble Select (at least in Singleplayer) reset the selected marble to zero, even though they do nothing.
---- No cancel button on Marble Select.
~ In mbpPrefs.cs, there's highScoresplatinumbeta[] and HighScoreNameplatinumbeta[] prefs, which each store exactly the same thing. Why are there two of them? Isn't that very redundant?
~ Total Wasted Time counter is STILL broken (intentional?)

~ MP lag icon shows sometimes even with the ping at the bottom right.

Intended behavior IMO, lagicon means that you're dropping packets completely, ping meter is how slow your connection is

~ Logged in count doesn't seem to work before you login. (Shows zero)

~ I have to open the server, to where anyone can join, before I can set any server access settings. Propose an "Open/Publish Server" button?

~ "Keep Resolution?" message loses newline after the bold text, after the first "tick". (Options Pane)

It's a depth buffer render bug, really wish we could fix, but it doesn't seem possible.

~ The game can periodically freeze.I froze twice, both while on MP. First I froze, then the music stopped a second later, then I was locked up. However, on the second try, the game looped the rolling sound, while it was hanged. It was evidently unresponsive, as it only gave me the option to force quit. (as opposed to the "quit" option)

Yeah this is caused by not requesting the file fast enough. Not sure of a fix other than to automatically do what you do manually.

I just clicked preload on multiplayer server,when preloaded it redirected me to singleplayer menu outside the leaderboards why?

•^ Guest presses the host server button, and immediately cancels. This leads to the singleplayer level select screen. (Playing a level acts like it is playing a multiplayer level with 78 gems, but is stuck in "waiting". Also exiting the gui leads to the home gui and doesn't logout the guest)
•Guest hosts a server and plays in game. The marble starts off looking like it has a mega marble, but has a collusion box of a normal marble.
•On the Multiplayer Lobby screen, preloading changes the global chat back to server chat. More of an annoyance than anything though.
•Spectating using ⌘-C isn't actually changing to spectating (intentional I guess, but could be used to an advantage?)

I don't mind the new GUI. I am of the opinion that if you can include more information on the same screen at the same time, then you should do it if it's not too cluttered. However, as it is now isn't that bad either.

As long as it's not frustrating, I'm fine with letting the devs decide what they think is best.


Bug: LB chat history is no longer showing.

Crash: I'm attaching a console.log
I just logged out, logged back in, then it froze, then the window disappeared. The app hadn't 100% fully crashed yet, I had to force quit it, but normally when it freezes the window stays up.

Caught an instance where it said "Nobody" -- normally this superquick bug has my name before it. Usually happens when it is loading before it wipes and such.

Okay, no more multiposts!

I found some more bugs, with guest logins. My sibling logged on a a guest, then at some point somehow jumped to the home screen. Then she logged back on, and then there were TWO guests connected to the computer. I was logged on, and the old guest session did NOT disconnect. Later, in the MP lobby, each line of chat was repeated consistently. When her MP game crashed and she had to force quit, only then did both guest session disconnect.

Also, my sibling cannot log on. Her account is created, yet it return invalid username/password on logon. Still. (Leela286)

All that in (hopefully) this logfile. Hope I didn't get the wrong one.

Noticed the account issue, I added a fix to the chat server that should fix this problem (quick call to checkCreateAccount() if the account doesn't exist). Only problem is that I have to restart the chat server, and that'd kick people off. Until late tonight when that happens, try having her open the webchat page (it also checkCreateAccount()s), and see if that fixes your problem temporarily.

When we alt+c before match is going to end and then alt+c after match has ended,we can still play(we can move our marble but no blast and powerups)

Dedicated server:
When someone left the games, it says '/x[playername] has left the game.

I found an issue with the new Ctrl-Fn keybinding in MBP. It turns out that they are bound to OSX functions. For example, Ctrl-F12, with a slightly lazy keypress, brings up the Restart dialog. Same for some other keys. On the other hand, I found another OS feature I hadn't known about. :P

ANTI-3-POST EDIT:

My sister had a super challenge with "marble bloopers!", and upon seeing the SC dialog, the player name was abbreviated to "marble". When playing there were three names: "matble", "bloopers!", and my sister. The "bloopers!" name got the level advances and the time counts.

Also, lagging sometimes fails to get you in the challenge.

•SP’s play button doesn’t have the “return” shortcut.
•When pressing SP’s difficulty categories, “escape” key doesn’t close it, but instead is linked to the menu button.
•In SP, using the search to load a level doesn’t check to see if the level is unlocked or not. (Did my download get screwed up? There are levels unqualified for.)
•In SP, beginner level “Training Towers” is missing its ultimate time (2100). “Ramps” also doesn’t have an ultimate time.
•On Mac, the info for the application doesn’t captialize the t in “team”: © The Platinum team. (... )
•In MP, in the handicaps, the column of checkboxes for players aren’t aligned, especially when there are several people with long names.

The server, and game, seems to be closing when I'm trying to start a match. I check "I'm Ready", press the button to start, see "Waiting..." for a split second longer, then the window dies and the game exits. The thing is, the game doesn't seem to be crashing at all. There's no error or signal happening. I ran a trace log, and from a quick glance, it looks as if someone simply started the function to quit.

Also, I'm (now) running Ubuntu 14.04.

For the Mac's info, it's simply a matter of changing a line in the .plist file. It has nothing to do with the game and is all entirely within the Contents of the bundle.

Epicenter is very glitchy for mac, your marble gets stuck on edges and inside interiors.

First off, this happens only on the Mac dedicated, not on a local server. We knew about it for ages.

HiGuy and I just spent the last hour redoing the map file in both quark and constructor and using both map2difs and it still happened, so it's definitely something wacky.
Upon further inspection we found it only happens when the rotation of the interior was 0 0 -1 90 and 0 0 1 90. We created new interiors (rotated 90) and it was fixed.
So while we were at it, we fixed all the epicenter interiors.

Known if you use 640x480 res because the UI asks for 800x600 MINIMUM and even then some of it is really squished and doesn't work well. I recommend 1024x768 or 1280x720 minimum.

Known bug. Because we removed some music for the Beta 1-3, some levels have no soundtrack in them.

Just a minor one but a bit annoying:
I've noticed that the jukebox plays songs randomly. (One for every time you enter a level.) When it picks out 'Pianoforte' (The music file exists, since it's the main menu theme.) to play in the level, 'Pianoforte' doesn't play. I have to go to the Jukebox and click on 'Play' to make it play.

Here are my laptop specs:
AMD A10-4655M APU @ 2.0 GHz
AMD Radeon HD 7620G + 8600M Dual Graphics
8GB RAM
Windows 8 x64

I am playing in Kancheepuram, India.

Other than that, MBP 1.50 B3 is as solid as a rock. Keep up the good work guys!
