Matan and I had a huge discussion this evening. Higuy and I were able to get in touch, and we decided a few improvements that would benefit the community.

1. Get rid of all single player.

I have finally listened, and we all understand that MP is most important for PR. With that in mind, why not make it a multiplayer mod .

2. Sorry to Mac people

Attensions Macs:
If you do not have crossover, you can not play Multiplayer. Its an engine issue and impossible to solve. Sorry guys.

I can use WineSkin to port the windows version like I did w/ MBP. Should work well enough...

So the single player is discontinued?

I was hoping that you would come to this choice. I think it is for the better that single-player is cancelled. As we have all mentioned, it shifts the focus away from the main goal of the mod: Multiplayer. There are lots of promising single-player mods coming out, so my appetite for that is satisfied. I don't really like any of the current single player levels in PR anyway, to be honest.

I personally have a PC, so this isn't my problem, but I hope there is some way we can deal with this and the Mac users can have their fun too.

Awesome!

That's OK, I can survive without them.

BTW, did you succeed in converting my map?

@Aayrl, so does higuy, who has a mac , who is also the co-founder with me. I am sure he knows more torque than PF (no offense pf, I am sorry.)

@Aayrl: from our tests, we have the following results.
TCPObjects work 1/1000 times. Extremely unpredictable and unreliable.
Connecting to a server will indeed connect. Unfortunately, the game crashes when transferring datablocks. I may look into this more, but there has been no progress with this.

As the mac options make what is already a quirky bunch of codes more unpredictable, we will not be adding Mac support. Your best bet is to acquire a windows version of MBG, as it can no longer be downloaded, and play from that ( acquire)

HiGuy

This signature is real code
Code:
function clientcmd12dothepq() { commandToClient(LocalClientConnection, '34onthedancefloor'); }

Windows version can't be BOUGHT. It can still be downloaded, at least if you bought MBG from GG...

HiGuy

I would look into why there is a limited window after opening the application using an interior test in which TCP objects are always successfully sent and downloaded.

Acquire is a broader term than buy.

I'm sure Project Revolution is not its official name - rather a code name for the project, kind of like Project Ascent.

I love you, but your attitude is like that of a shrew. Your options? Take a pill or be my kill. Might I suggest that you wear a vest. Perish in class or be banished to the land of bluegrass, where dreams don't exist as you'll be eternally pissed.

Okay so I was wrong. Just seems as if it'd be a code name for a secret project or whatever. :S

Marble Wars is also a game, although the battle resumes is not a title for any of those.
