Hey guys! I am making a new mod called "Marble Blast Extreme", and this mod will have multiplayer, just like Marble Blast Xtreme, which died 5 years ago. Once 7 assistants have been picked for this mod, no more people will be picked.

with the music and the lights and everything :P

I'll join this mod!!! I may be able to squeeze in some time to work on MBSuper and this.
[EDIT]I may reconsider joining until MBSuper is finished. But I'll still help.[EDIT]

Just something to say:
Making a mod does take a lot of work, in fact, I wanted to make a mod just like you (MBSuper) and it was nooby and crap at the start. Then we had a cool graphics designer, programmer, level maker etc, heck we even got multiplayer cause of cooldudepoke (though it was basic). Try writing up some positions first of who will do what in the mod, me for example, maybe doing graphics and levels. Do this on notepad or text document or even pen and paper (my method). This is just advice for making your mod. I'm sure it won't be nooby and crap like mine was at the beginning.

Yes. StewMan is right about that.

How about some constructive criticism;

You, AFAIk, have NO proof you are gonna be able to pull this off.
I have never seen a good script by you.
I have never seen graphics from you.
I have never seen levels from you.

Second, you need a plan. You can just say "MULTIPLAYER DFKGKDFG". You need to know basic scripting. If you are recruiting a scripter, then you are at no luck.
Jeff and Higuy are working for MBP.1.50.
Cooldudepoke is just not active much.

Even GRAPHICS creators are not available. Most are working on other mods like MBP 1.50 or sumtin.
I would take my time to help, but im working on MBS.

Almost no one good would join, because there are already enough mods out there that are being worked on...
Sorry, bud. I may have sounded rough, but I'm just giving out some advice.
You can just INGORE everything I said. And continue on with your mod. But I advise you take other community member's advice.

StewMan. You know what happens when you join multiple mods? Your brain gets overloaded. Then you get stressed out, then you give up because you have DOUBLE the stress of mod making.

Also, you are the leader. Leader's are supposed to start their project and focus it down till it is finished.

May I say that I have stopped working on MBP since last november. And no, I will not be joining this mod, I have other things to do like work 40hrs/week and personal projects, as well as spending time with family/friends.

I am a programmer. Most here know me for being one of the major contributors to Marble Blast Platinum and PlatinumQuest.

You mentioned in your opening post that the mod you worked on before died. What are you going to be doing differently this time to avoid that same thing happening? Think very hard before proceeding with this. I say you should learn to build levels and release them and skip the mod business.

No, there was another mod 5 years ago by another person called MBXtreme.

There might be a world record rampage. If not, I'll make one! Plus, I'll make a WR Topic. I changed Gold time to Extreme time. And it's scarlet instead of gold.

Now hold on a second.

World record rampage? Of this mod? Well, for that we'd have to assume that the mod is... complete. May I ask why you are already talking about a WRR of this mod as if it is going to happen anytime soon? You mentioned that you changed gold time to extreme time and went even further to discuss the color of said time. That's great and all. But that was also sort of a given; enlightening us on the matter does not affect the way we perceive this idea of a mod... as a mod.

Now with that said, I have to ask you a serious question. Why should I, personally, have faith in this mod to turn out as a success by the year 2016 (since that's about the time frame you're looking at)? Although you speak of its existence, are you aware of the amount of work that goes into making a fully fledged mod? And especially by today's standards, it has got to be pretty darn good to be well received. I will go ahead and tell you openly that your opening post is not thoroughly convincing, since you make no claim about this mod besides its name. I applaud your enthusiasm for wanting multiplayer in your mod. However, just because you see that MP is possible, you can't assume that it's easy to add to any mod - or that it will be. You're wrong if you believe that.

I'm not going to discourage you, mostly because I think it's important you grasp how difficult making a mod really is, by trying to make one. Once you try to work on it for a bit, you will realize that it's not all ABC blocks, despite how anyone else or circumstance may make it seem. I had your same mindset about three years ago; heck, I could even link you to show you. But now look at where I'm at; I've learned that mods are only ideas, with the <10% few that make it past being an idea. I applaud you if you make it past the idea stage, and I think it will be a good experience for you, but don't expect anything to come out of it.

One more question. Why stop at 7 assistants? Many good mods have far more staff than 7. I suggest you rethink that limit.

I love you, but your attitude is like that of a shrew. Your options? Take a pill or be my kill. Might I suggest that you wear a vest. Perish in class or be banished to the land of bluegrass, where dreams don't exist as you'll be eternally pissed.

I agree with TW, and you have to really commit to it and I suggest planning your level ideas in a notebook. And I you good luck for this mod!
I wish I could join but I don't know anything about coding or level making or any of that stuff really :P

WR rampages are for complete mods Endy.

I can't join this mod because I already signed up for MBS. And you can't make a WR rampage and start your mod at the same time(like Tech Warrior said).

Thats pretty much what I said. You can't start a WRR without the mod being complete 100%.

Also, m2m, you should show us pictures of the mod to keep people interested in this mod, and what kind of theme it is.

Here's a level screenshot.
Beginner Level 1: Learning to Roll
I still need to work on the GUI's, and add some new sound effects.
Here is the image link. Interior made with Torque Constructor.

I see areas of the skybox where the direction changes, like lines appearing in the corner. You should actually get a skybox.
The Custom Graphics board has a bunch of skies and textures you can use. Just ask permission :D

Good luck with your mod!

PF also has a bunch of skyboxes level makers use. You could also try those (for starters), though I'm not sure about permissions.

Also the level in general doesn't really impress me at all. Unless it's MBG, do you really need a "Learning to Roll"?

Just as some constructive criticism, I think that most people who play this mod will be members of the community who are already familiar with Marble Blast. So I think the beginner levels should be for the new features rather than basic MB skills. :) Good luck with the mod!

All posts from my account that were made before July 29 2013 are from the point of view of my dad unless it states otherwise.

I made models in ac3d and exported them to 3ds, then used Fragmotion to convert 3ds to ms3d and used ms3d for finishing touches and to convert to dts.
Super jump, super speed, glow stuff and super bounce is done, I made one for gyrocopter but it has no animation(dunno how to do it)
