This will be my first post here (hi!).

I use two different antiviruses, Kaspersky and Malwarebytes. I'm trying to download PlatinumQuest.
However, when I try downloading it, Kaspersky pops up saying that HTTPSupport.dll contains a ransomware trojan and is brought into quarantine.
I know that I can't run PQ without this file, but at the same time I don't want my stuff being encrypted by ransomware (my computer is worth several thousands of dollars).

Is PQ entirely clean so I can allow HTTPSupport.dll to be passed through and run? I don't want to take risks until I know for sure.

Hey there! I use Kaspersky myself and yeah it gave me a ton of problems too when it decided to eat up HTTPSupport.dll. I fought it for 15 mins because I have a dev build as well as a public build so I had to make it happy with two different builds.

Anyway the gist of this goes like so:
Go to Kaspersky's Settings -> Additional -> Threats and Exclusions
In there find Manage Exclusions
Press Add
Add this into the File or Folder path:
C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\PlatinumQuest\plugins\HTTPSupport.dll

Object is likely gonna be: UDS:Trojan-Ransom.Win32.Purgen.agu
And you can give a comment if you feel like it.
And lastly:
SET STATUS TO ACTIVE

Then press Save.
Try running the launcher again. It should work now.
