Luck only goes so far... (Pathways missed run)

Pascal I hope you use this path for the WR Rampage 2, without the screwup of course.

Notes: I've done the first edge hit a number of times before, but the second edge hit (not my idea) is much rarer.
In this run, both edge hits were done accidentally!

My Grand Finale path + 2 tweaks

And a blooper too.

Notes:
The best time I have with the regular path is 42.67.
Harder but maybe faster tweak: It's supposed to be a light edge hit, enough to lift the marble up to the height of the next gem. I can't do it (well it would take a long time), but maybe a pro can…

Song: Europe - The Final Countdown

(This is the path I mentioned in the How did you discover MB thread.)

Widow's Peak (9.65, 8.90)

9.65 run is without the edge hit, 8.90 run is.

The second edge hit? I didn't think of that, Wo0dY commented on zzGreeDzz's video
a while ago Do the edge pop at the end and you will get sub 24... That was the first time I heard of the tweak, although it may have been known before then.

I did it by accident in this run, forgot to mention that too.

Gauntlet (15.39 + Blooper Run)

Gauntlet 15.39 plus 8 bloopers during the attempts.

I thought of the path (which I also used in my 7 MBG levels video) after watching zzGreeDzz's run where he edge-hit a block and shot to the finish. I couldn't do it, so I improvised.

Notes:
If I go behind the 4th block instead of in front of it, that might save me some time.

3 Skyscraper paths (48.98, 41.15, 41.07)

Skyscraper sub-50 without traplaunch, sub-42 with one traplaunch.

Story:

Some time ago, I found a path for the custom level Skyscraper City at Night that involved a runup + edge hit on the road + Super Jump to get me almost to the top of the skyscraper. Then, I realized that maybe I could adapt that to Skyscraper as well.

Originally I was thinking of a runup + edge hit + Super Jump to get halfway up, then get the gems on the way down, then traplaunch to the top. But I decided it was too hard for me, so I removed the traplaunch and added another edge hit, so I edge hit halfway up, got one gem at the halfway point, went down, edge hit again, got the other gem at the halfway point, then went up to the finish. That got me 57 seconds. Then I decided to get both gems at the halfway point after the second edge hit to save time. I tried some edge hits but I couldn't save time until I found the Super Jump tweak. That was the key to getting the sub-50.

Then, I thought a traplaunch instead of the edge hit would save more time, so I tried and got these 41-second runs. The traplaunch didn't save time for me, but it meant that the Super Jump was saved for later.

Notes:
I was going to upload the first run as a video but I recorded the traplaunch paths sooner than I thought, so I decided to combine them into one video.
48.98: I got shot up a bit higher than usual. Normally I only go just above the gem.
41.07: I nearly fell off after landing on the small platform after the Super Jump!

Song: Vanessa Amorosi - Absolutely Everybody

Random Levels 1 video coming soon!

Marble Blast Levels 1

11 levels done recently. Most are personal bests.

Notes:

Platform Party (11.21): I practiced this route for over half an hour one night (maybe close to an hour? I don't know ), the next day I hit this after 10 minutes (was my first successful run too).

To the Moon (5.84): I improved the 7/8-second route to get me this time. I later hit the same time.

Pathways (25.98): Edge hit unintentional. I had a 26.17 run recorded, but I lost the recording, so I tried to beat it. It took me one and a half hours because I kept messing up a lot. The 26.17 is still the best time without the edge hit.

Avoiding Hazards (3.65): 0.01 from personal best. I hit the 3.64 pretty early and so I didn't record it. Interestingly enough, the same thing happened a while ago with 3.66 and 3.68, but this time I couldn't be bothered to re-hit the personal best time. (This is why I want Automatic Demo Recording.)

Double LoopLoop (26.11): I had always thought of doing the end part this way, but I couldn't pull it off until recently.

Wall Master (37.40): I wanted less than 37 but oh well.

Floor Climb (45.50): I messed up right before the TMs and also after the edge hit.

Timely Ascent (2.79): Best TM catch.

Nukesweeper (11.59): I wanted a better time but this was as fast as I could go.

Michael's Final Adventure (14.86): There are 3 places where I could have gone faster. I slowed down at the end so I wouldn't go too high, therefore, the time didn't restart.

Learning the Basics (4.48): This was the top time on the leaderboards when I did it, but Pascal beat me soon after.

Song: Evanescence - Bring Me to Life (had to audioswap the original songs)

Great Divide (25.70) and Great Divide Revisited (24.75)

Great Divide and Great Divide Revisited done using traplaunches. The recordings were made late last year I think. I've gotten better times now but I can't be bothered to redo them (plus they're quite hard to do).

Notes:
Great Divide Revisited: I had to backspin so I didn't overshoot the goal.

And in other news, I got my first successful Natural Selection traplaunch (8.61)! It took less time than I thought, I didn't get a recording but I will retry while recording for a better time.

Happy Hannukah! (13.56)

I have been thinking of a new path for this level for a while. I thought of wall-hitting at the end then activating the Super Jump to possibly get to the finish faster, but that was hard for me. Later I thought of an edge hit at the 8th platform, but I didn't think the marble would go high enough. When I actually tried it I realized I had nothing to worry about.

Notes:
My best time with the regular path is 18.4x. So this path saved me about 5 seconds.
