Forum cleanup

Hey all,

Over the next few weeks the Marble Blast Forum staff are going to be moving old threads that were active prior to 2012 into the Archives subforum. Some threads or subforums will not be touched; these include World Record threads, blogs or members' level threads if the member is still around. Other topics may not be touched as we see fit.

Because this is a lengthy period of time where pruning will not be actively done, the forums will not be on maintenance mode, so that your visit here will not be interrupted.

And yeah, don't delete my levels thread

I would advise against clearing out anything in the New Levels subforum. Whether or not the member is sill around, those threads contain many playable levels that people may enjoy downloading.

Isn't that what the CLA is for? I would say to at least clean up some of those dead noob mods, I can't say anyone would care much. And some of the subforums have pages of topics, no one seems to be able to get past the first page.

Otherwise, great to see a cleanup. I wonder how much difference it would make. There are a lot of topics present on these forums, and not much activity...

CLA is extremely out of date. If it were updated (as I know it was mentioned) then by all means clean out the subforum.

I lied. I've just thrown out a number of WR threads to the Vault.
I'm going to announce here that I'm going to clean up the members' threads very soon.

If you have a thread and its last post is prior to mid-2012 this is your chance to let me know NOT to move it to the Vault. For example, Hagaroo above posted so.

Meanwhile I'll skip ahead a bit and move threads ahead of time. I don't want to do the level building board just yet as I have further plans for it.

CLA is extremely out of date. If it were updated (as I know it was mentioned) then by all means clean out the subforum.

We plan to refurbish the CLA and provide an easier method for downloading large amounts of old custom levels. I think Matan is going to place level threads for inactive members in the archive, and leave the active member level threads as they are for the time being.

Please don't move my thread to the vault.

As many of you might have noticed, I was bored at work while working on other stuff which weren't work related so I decided to continue the cleanup. The LB/QC board is UNFINISHED because I got plans for the stickies, but otherwise up to the non-MB Discussion part of the forums the cleanup is mainly complete. Oh yeah, and MBP board on the todo list.
MBDK topics moved to relevant and newly made boards in the vault.

Happy days...

Awesome, thanks matan for all that you do

Doing another sweep as preparation for new website, and also making my life a bit easier atm.

The LB/QC board will remain with all those sticked topics. I know tons of stuff is scattered around, but things will be copied to the new website. I hope we will manage to organise items in help topics on the main website rather than the forums, or the forums themselves... whichever.

Gonna clean up blogs section while at it I suppose.
