A quick update for our fellow Marble Blasters. If you are playing MBP 1.60, you'll be happy to know the Platinum Team is adding the Shader Engine in an upcoming patch. All Marble Blast Ultra, Singleplayer, and Multiplayer levels will be re-textured to the original texturing for your enjoyment.
Note that DTS Shapes are NOT part of the Shader Engine for this release; they should be complete for PlatinumQuest.
Custom levels support the shaders as well! You can make them yourself by adding textures with their respective specular and normal versions to the /data/interiors directory, so you end up with this:
textureName.jpg , textureName.spec.jpg , textureName.normal.jpg
For example:
edge_white.jpg, edge_white.spec.jpg, edge_white.normal.jpg
You can use paint editing programs, such as GIMP, Photoshop etc, or use CrazyBump for a quick method; it is 30-day free trial for Windows, and unlimited to Mac (as it's in Beta stage).
