And I know you don't want to hear people complain, which is understandable as it can be very annoying and demotivating; however you should still listen to what people such as, for example Matan, say. They have worked on mods before and can contribute a lot.

I only had 2 goals. One was that I wanted to show what I could do for a mod. The second one was that I wanted some experience, since I have never done this kind of thing before.Kalle29 wrote:
Have a goal with the mod. It seems to me like you started on this mod just cause you wanted to create a mod. It seems like you didn't have any inspiration or theme that drove the mod forward.
Eguy wrote: Frosty, Matan-- Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is my perspective: It seems more like you guys are the ones who don't have faith in MBS. For some reason, new mods always intrigue me no matter what, in particular the levels. So as long as this mod has new levels, I will be interested. And as long as I am interested because of this I am sure there are other people who have the same feelings towards new mods. While you guys raise a point, about working on one mod at a time, what I heard seemed a bit too harsh and discouraging, since I know what Matt and others are capable of, particularly level wise. I'm partial to RD's post, which gave them constructive criticism about levels. These level makers are a work in progress, remember, but if they get some expert advice from someone like RD, their levels can be something people would want to play again and again, for fun and world records. It could also encourage them to work primarily on MBS. Also, is there such thing as a perfect mod? What Matan said seemed more like "pack up, go home, you can't do this," which is not advice in the slightest. Matan seems like someone who should give detailed advice rather than sit and expect all mods to be perfect in every way. If you give this mod team real advice, I believe MBS can be amazing. We're still making WRR's for MBSpace and MBReloaded, and they're certainly not perfect as far as I know of. Then why doubt MBSuper? I'm very sorry if I sound rude in any way, since I respect everyone in this community. I just felt a strong need to address some of the discouragement issues regarding this mod. Also, on a side note, was part of this mod released (i. e. a demo, an early version, etc.)? Or is it still being worked on?

From what I know, all Matan said was just a bunch of stuff about why he doesn't believe in this mod. Perhaps he gave advice in the past that wasn't taken? Or perhaps the MBS team never received that advice? I don't know, but he seemed to drop faith in this mod all too soon and make useless posts saying that the mod will die, which is not constructive criticism for the slightest. For now I'll be quiet about this mod because I'm sick and tired of arguing with people who don't believe in the mod, and I've done my part for now.Kalle29 wrote:

Rozi is just one person. He's not even mod leader. Matt p already expressed interest in putting the mod in MBU and he hasn't posted here anything. Coming from rozi is not helpful when the actual mod leader is silent. I give him credits for doing the right thing, but I won't be the only one to express doubt when out of 7+ people he's the only one to reply.
Just for the record, there's a MBE WWR for Pro on Alexis's channel, but other than that, yes, there's no WWR - at least a full one.IsraeliRD wrote: Emerald doesn't have a WR rampage, did get some interest but do you see anyone actively contributing to it? no. It also had several original goals which Jeff and HiGuy will be happy to tell you about that never did work out.
Doesn't mp require like 700 lines of code? Maybe I have missed something and they already have it implemented. Still, it doesn't take away from the fact that the community isn't that big and splitting up the mp players to two different mods would not be a good idea.HiGuy wrote:
I'd like to counter this and say that, if you guys want to include multiplayer, then go ahead. Just know that it is no small commitment, and that you should focus on the singleplayer gameplay much more than multiplayer. Realize that trying to be overambitious with the various features will just spell out your doom. Pick one or two things (hunt mode or something similar) and do them well, rather than just creating 20 sub-par features.Kalle29 wrote:
- Don't include multiplayer. No one will want to play mp in MBS when MBP already has it. Making mp levels is perfectly fine, but what you're doing right now is a perfect example of when you want too much.
Doesn't mp require like 700 lines of code?

Some of my thoughs. This is pure constructive criticism based on videos i saw above and those images you shared a while back. This is how I see mod now:Rozi the Brazilian wrote: True, I'm not the mod leader, and I don't really care if I am or if I'm not. Matthieu did have the idea of taking parts of MBS and inserting them into MBU, but the level highlights (in other words, the really good levels), like Block Towers , Champion's Road, Agility , and Completionist .

Try 10,000 +
Hey, I'm sorry if you think this is a "personal attack" but I really disagree. I was making a simple and reasonable point. Also, when I was talking about you posting on here, I was talking about your post much earlier about this mod being "dead."IsraeliRD wrote:

I wasn't planning on posting unless someone decided to go on a personal attack today.

Graphics are perfectly ok, it isn't any huge distractions to eyes, feels a bit cold but it goes with the theme. Levels rozi mentioned as his best indeed have some fresh ideas, gameplay is okayish, of course noting is perfect but it's best ive seen from this mod so far and few of them indeed made me want to wish to try them. For levels showed in screenies I gave my verdict a while back with few more images. Sounds and shapes are okay too, considering you did those from scratch with low blender and graphics making knowledge.
I wish you guys would spend some more time on improving level quality gameplay wise , if you could do that you could release mod with what you have (which i guess is 50ish levels atm and custom UI/textures/shapes/sounds aka complete mod. better having 50 good levels than 100 low quality ones). From what I see now mod is done, polish your levels and release it, I am looking forward to actually playing it and I still have faith of it seeing daylight someday, idc what leadership is going on there, this discussion has turnt into pointless train wreck anyways so I'm gonna say this: if you all have managed to push it this far then you must push it to finish, how well you are gonna cross the finish line will be determined by how much effort you want to put into polishing rest of levels. MBEmerald was finished by 2 people from like 10 people team that left, graphics where great, levels needed polishing, I'm giving you guys constructive criticism, use it for once.
Also sorry Rozi for not actually trying out your levels, I think you made most levels when I was barely active on forums, if you need any constructive criticism about your levels just ask someone around here, i have to try your levels too sometime.

Lee Zi Xian has been added to the team as a level tester because of his skill, and his judgement ability. Welcome Lee!
Also, we might be able to use another tester (not completely sure if we have enough space). Any takes?
