I achieved a 1:07.96 on Friction Pyramids, but that's only to fill in the empty space on the list. It can go lower (under a minute for sure), but I just made a couple bloopers. Don't expect this time to be my final time.

After promising to some long levels ages ago, I finally got around to doing City of Buzzmusic after changing my path around 5 or 6 times.

City of Buzzmusic - 3:57.463
A rough run so this can go faster, although what I'll be satisfied with depends on how consistent I can pull the path (its fairly easy but some parts are annoying to get fast).

I've just been reading over the entire topic for fun and I don't know why. :P I noticed/remembered that .avis were allowed.

The thing I have to say about this is that you can have an advantage of recording an .avi file. Since .rec files don't work with the respawn button and .avi files do work, that shaves off a little bit of time that some people do not have the option to do.
Should it still be allowed?

Yeah, unless you are up for re-recording most of the rampage.

Enormous Road: 1:20.75

And Buzz, Aerial Fun! doesn't work in MBG either. The only way I could get it to work is by using the screenshot-glitch... Doesn't really seem right to me, to have to use that glitch to be able to finish the level.

Is the moving platform showing up at all? How is it not working?

The launcher at the start is present, but doesn't launch the marble high enough (at least without the use of screenshots.)

Try locking/unlocking the frame rate, that may cause the platform to launch you higher. Although screenshots launch you higher, sometimes higher frame rates produce higher launches (Planar Plaza is an example of this).

I was thinking about doing Map until I gave up when Lee took the World Record, and I also thought of doing Hidden Temple, but it looks like a really annoying level that I don't want to play. Lee's also working on that since last time. i've heard from him.

I've decided to take on Velocity Grids for my next run. I've figured out a path that can go under a minute, and I'm sure that it can go much lower with a different path, but I'll settle for what I have at the moment. My best time is 6:04.71, and that happened when I was still figuring out my path.

Since I've figured out that I can record an .avi file, I may go back and redo Friction Pyramids which can probably go a few seconds under what the current time is by using the respawn key.

Also, Frosty, can you put me down for the Golden Marble instead of the Grass Marble? I believe I mentioned this earlier.

Finally sorted the path (and sticking to it because I've already changed the path innumerable times) and its fairly easy to pull off now.
I'll start recording and start aiming for ~3:15.

Recorded, although it does seem to lag occasionally (at around 1:30 and right at the end - thanks to fraps), which when viewing afterwards (e.g. windows media player) the lag breaks it. Only VLC seems to avoid this issue.

Not sure why this happens but I'll record again (to remove lag - and there's always room for improvement!)

Edit: Didn't have the framerate capped when recording with FRAPS so iy was recording at 180fps and then dropping to 60fps at times which caused problems for some reason.
Capping it during results in more lag playing but it comes out in recording fine.[/strike]

FRAPS lag still seems to cause issues when replaying, but sometimes it seems to play fine and I'm satisfied with the time.

(Edit3: Looking at Required Momentum - think I have a fairly good idea of some tricks and tweaks to save time, which I can create a path with. Bit of a pain having the random powerup though, doesn't help planning me route :p)

Yes you can. The respawn key requires .avi though, not .rec , just FYI

UPDATE:
So, after a lot of path tweaking, I managed to get a 3:14 time on Hidden Temple! :D
I was suprised when I saw the Utltimate Time: 3:45, lol
Kay, gonna work on the recording then, really want to get sub 3..

Hey, I just wanted to know where we are with these last levels, and if the rampage is getting close to its end.

Required Momentum - anyone wanna do this, I'm not going to, random PUs is a nono for me
Control Master - gives me invalid packet, anyone who has it working willing to run it?
Velocity Grids - I think frosty had a path for this for ~50 sec? Otherwise someone can just do a good UT run and be done with it

random power-ups... I can think of a slightly cheaty way to fix this. Put in the wanted powerup at the exact same size and shape of the random powerup. Take a .rec, then replace the powerup with the random one. Record the .rec. Not sure if it actually works, but just a suggestion to save time.

Control master... I think Uil had a video of a path of this, it's probably the current WR.


Arial Fun!... I've felt so bad for the longest time reading what you've all said about this level, because I'm the one who tested it for Buzzmusic. It worked fine for me, sometimes launching me a little farther than necessary. I used an iBook G4 then, so... yeah. Nothing I can do now :unsure:

Yes I am doing control master and velocity grids, control master i already got a run for 1:3-1:40ish but the .avi utterly broke. Velocity grids I had an old 52/53 but it can go lower.

I have my own idea for a path, but I wouldn't mind seeing yours either at some point. Could always be useful to me (either "borrow" entire path or merely implement tweaks is going to be helpful)
