...I really hate the fact I keep having to write 'released' so many times in the title, because it feels so redundant.
Moving on! RC2 is released and is mainly a fixes build, with more than 75 fixes out of the 100+ changes that were done. RC2 includes all patches since RC1 so you aren't missing out on anything.
Main highlights include various engine fixes and additions. Windows users no longer need Administrator access, and MBP.exe was removed (using normal marbleblast.exe now).
It is important for everyone to download the new launcher as it was updated as well and can now delete files, which is NEEDED if you want RC2 to launch without screaming at you when you try and go online.
RC2 is supported on Windows XP to Windows 8.1, Mac OS X 10.7 and above. No Linux support due to its MBG engine doing stuff that our extender does not like.
Windows Vista and above users please note: RC2 will be installed in C:\Users\<YourUsername>\AppData\Roaming\Marble Blast Platinum
All preferences and config files will be copied by the launcher to their respective directories in AppData if you want it to (it asks you first :D).
RC1'S install directory, C:\Program Files (x86)\Marble Blast Platinum , will no longer be used and you can delete it.
It is recommended to copy and custom interiors missions over to AppData as the launcher will not do so.
Happy Marble Blasting

Hey there,
The Platinum Team would like to announce a new and improved version of the master server. This master server is now more stable in RC2 than any other master server that has been in the previous builds. Not only does it come with stability, it also comes with new features. Take a look for yourself!
Here is a description of what each and every column does on the master server:
- Lock Icon - This icon is visible if there is a server password
- Bar Icon - This icon is visible if ratings are turned on
- Server Name - The name of the server
- Players - The amount of players currently on the server over the maximum players allowed
- Mode - What type of server is this, such as Free-For-All or Teams mode
- Ping - The latency to the server in one round trip. The lower this number, the better the connection
- Min Rating - The minimum rating required to play on the server
You will also notice, that there is now a status bar. The status bar will tell you what the master server's current status is when it is refreshing. It will display statuses for connecting to the master server, querying the master server, receiving pings from the servers, and finally the amount of servers that it has found.
We hope you enjoy the new master server as much as we do!

Hey folks,
Recently we've been getting suspicious activity on our Uploads form, so we've taken Uploads offline for the time being. If you have any levels or content you'd like uploaded to MarbleBlast.com, please contact us via Skype or email.
In addition, we've identified a security issue with the Windows version of the MBP 1.50 launcher, specifically allowing the entire Java 7 library root access to computer systems, which may lead to compromised computers should the user be infected with rogue malware awaiting raised user privileges to unleash its payload. To those users that are on Windows clients, we strongly recommend you run an antivirus scan and malware scan to ensure file integrity before running the Marble Blast Launcher.
We will be uploading a new Marble Blast Launcher for Windows shortly that fixes this issue and installs Marble Blast Platinum to a new location (<user>/AppData/Local/roaming/Marble Blast Platinum) WITHOUT administrative rights (meaning it will run without raised privileges). We also strongly recommend all users update to Java 7 u67 (or Java 8 if applicable) and uninstall any existing versions of Java to ensure maximum security on your computer systems.
Thanks,
~Aayrl

Someone else couldn't get off his high guy so you're seeing me update instead of him.
First off the server crashed twice, firstly it was our host's servers (from what my fellow staff tell me) and then it was our server which PQ'd horribly. We lost the 1081 hours and 5 minutes uptime.
The main news is that we recently upgraded our website to support SSL (the lock icon is so awesome), so your login and other things are now extra secure. If you get any problems, let us know.

Hey everyone,
Our Labor Day Weekend Madness Event has come to a close. We are pleased to announce that 44 of our users managed to make it online and join us during the five hour event, and we hope everyone had a glorious (and extremely laggy) time with us today. We will be doing more of these events in the future (and I plan to hold some of these events personally roughly once every two weeks), so if you missed out on some excitement, do not worry!
For those of you who were online today during the Event, you should notice some shiny new Website Achievements attached to your user profile page! Go check them out!
Here's a quick recap of what happened today for those that missed it:
A 13-Player round of my custom mission, Meltdown
17 Players attempting to play the Multiplayer Beginner Level, Bowl
A 13-Player Rated Teams Match of the Beginner Multiplayer Level, King of the Marble
A 14-Player non-rated round of the Beginner Multiplayer Level, King of the Marble
A 12-Player round of the Beginner Multiplayer level, King of the Marble where everyone scored over 100 (except me)
I had a great time, and I look forward to hosting the next event with you folks! Cheers!
